The Minister of State for Health visits our centre in Brighton

We were delighted to welcome Maria Caulfield, MP for Lewes and Minister of State for Health at Medical Imaging Partnership’s centre in Brighton, today.

The Minister spent time at Brighton Community Diagnostic & Treatment Centre, located at the Amex Stadium, speaking to members of the team and discussing the centre’s role in providing NHS services as part of the NHS Community Diagnostic Hub (CDH) initiative.

The Medical Imaging Partnership site at the Amex Stadium will serve as a CDH ‘Spoke’ providing additional capacity to the regional CDH’s – a new diagnostic network which is considered key in helping the NHS achieve it’s long-term plan and ambitions. The ‘Hub and Spoke’ model has been designed to build capacity for more diagnostic testing in local communities and relieve pressure on hospitals.

Andrew Lennox, Group CEO for Medical Imaging Partnership and Prime Health Diagnostics said: “It was great to showcase to the minister how a true partnership can help deliver innovation for patients in the community and transform day-to-day delivery and accessibility. Ultimately it will improve patient outcomes and it’s fantastic to know that we are playing our part in improving the health of the community and NHS services.
