A Year in Review and Looking Ahead

Steve Bird, CEO of Prime Health Diagnostics and Medical Imaging Partnership reflects on the business’s achievements for 2023 and shares his excitement for what lies ahead in 2024.

“As we reach the conclusion of 2023, both Medical Imaging Partnership and Prime Health can reflect on a year marked by significant achievements and success. Our commitment to innovation and technology to better support patient pathways and streamline administration, increasing levels of partnership and collaboration with key customer groups and health service partners, but most of all, a desire to continually focus on the service provided to all of our patients has allowed the company to be able to help more than ever.

The introduction of integrated care pathways will strengthen the company portfolio and expand our imaging modality capability over the coming months. We are excited to announce the development and introduction of even more imaging pathways, including ‘ Health Checks’ within women’s health, cardiac screening, musculoskeletal (MSK) self-referral and liver and colon health checks. The recent introduction of an MRI Prostate Health Check along with Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) services have already been very well received and will I am sure, provide valuable help, support and reassurance to many more patients in 2024.

Throughout the year our focus on fostering and retaining strong relationships with our NHS partners has also been paramount. Our teams have tirelessly collaborated to support the recovery of NHS waiting times, contributing to the overall improvement of diagnostic provision. We recognise the importance of our role in enhancing healthcare accessibility and efficiency and are delighted to play our part in improving the position for patients and their families in many different geographies.

We are proud to have hosted several ministerial visits at our Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Brighton. These visits have affirmed the value of the services provided and the positive impact this CDC has on healthcare delivery for the regional population. We will commit to further support the wider CDC initiative next year and hope to be able to widen our capability and capacity so as to contribute even more support.

Additionally, our collaboration with elite sports clubs remains strong and is growing and I am delighted that we will extend our services across various sports disciplines and standards along with a number of exciting initiatives being developed for 2024. This commitment aligns with our vision to promote health and well-being at all levels and will be instrumental as we highlight the importance of health and care awareness.

As we look ahead to 2024, our commitment to service excellence and patient-centric care pathways remains unwavering. We will provide more scanners to more geographies to help more patients and also at the same time aim to open additional high-quality diagnostic facilities. It is an exciting time for the company and I am delighted that we are able to constantly move forward and to improve at every level.

We have a team of dedicated staff and without this excellent team none of this service expansion would be possible. I appreciate the commitment, effort, support and willingness to change and move forward that has been shown all year and so as we start the next step on our journey together I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved.

Happy New Year.”
