Meet our Radiology Manager Vanessa Brown in our new staff focus feature.
Name: Vanessa Brown
Role Title: Radiology Manager
How long have you worked for Medical Imaging Partnership?
I have been at MIP now for just over 7 years, having started in November 2010.
Tell us about your role
My role has changed a lot since I first started. Originally I was only based at The Horder Centre, but this changed as we started to deliver more contacts from additional locations.
My role is now spread across multiple locations including The Horder Centre, The McIndoe Centre, Horder Healthcare Seaford, Brighton Diagnostic and Treatment Centre and Crawley Hospital.
What is your background?
I started my career in healthcare with the NHS. Before joining the team at MIP I spent 13 years working for Nuffield Heath as the Radiology Manager before moving onto a role with Loadstone Alliance.
What does your average day look like?
For me, no two days are the same, so there is no average day. As well as being hands on with patients I also organise the DXA and ultrasound service, organise radiologists, arrange the staff rota, prepare for audits and cover any additional work that comes up.
What do you do in your spare time?
The spare time I have I spend with my family, two horses and my mad cocker spaniel!
