OUR BLOGThe prestigious UK Health Investor Awards 2021 will be held on 13 September 2021 at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
This year, the judges will be looking for organisations and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to healthcare between March 2020 – March 2021. The awards are aimed at those professionals investing in, advising or operating companies in the health and social care sector and the finalists represent the leading players in this diverse and burgeoning market.
Andrew Lennox, Group CEO for Medical Imaging Partnership and Prime Health shares his summary on the incredible work of his team between March 20-21 and which saw the company selected as finalists for Diagnostic Provider of the Year.
“The 2020/21 financial year could be characterised by the phrase “we simply went to work”. While that might not sound impressive at any other time, those in healthcare, social care, and essential roles know how much they had to step above their own pandemic fears and simply go to work to support others.
When we look closer, the changes that our teams drove in, how we conducted our work and how we supported our patients, shows a step-change in innovation and excellence.
The actions we set in train have transformed the company into a provider that has not simply developed new tech or expanded new sites – we did all of those in the year – but one that has become a trusted partner who could be relied upon to deliver, no matter how short a notice or complex the ask, to make a positive difference to the lives of others, every, single, day.
From the initial lockdown in late March, most healthcare services saw an immediate dip in activity, but it was clear that some essential services were crucial to support health. It was also clear that those facilities outside of acute NHS trust locations were well-placed to provide safe and Covid secure services. Our team immediately engaged to work out what was possible – and to deliver. That mindset, with a focus on the possible rather than on the barriers, set our team apart. We presented solutions to our NHS colleagues that could reduce their load, and we got to work.
We are delighted that, over a truly challenging 12 months, the hard work and commitment each and every member of our team has been recognised.”
We look forward to attending the event in London in September to meet with the other finalists and see who is crowned the winner.
